I'm in Toronto and I'm just in the process of setting up my store, neatTreats.  I could really use some guidance in regards to shipping.  I've been looking at the Canada Post website because I thought that might be the most cost effective way to go, but I don't seem to be having much luck.  Because I'll be shipping my soaps I think a charge of $8 or $9 would be really off putting.  I'm willing to take a bit of the cost to keep it down, but what I'm seeing in shipping costs is really causing me to think twice about this.

Can anyone in Canada give me an idea how to manage this cost.

Many thanks.

When I buy items that are postage intensive such as soap, I look for reasonable combined shipping charges (the charges for a second or more item) and a well stocked store with several scents. Then I buy several items at once. My most recent soap purchase, I believe I paid $8 in shipping but purchased 3 tubs of whipped soap to make the shipping per unit less. I love handmade soap and in our house we definitely go through it.
