Have a great weekend everyone. Just wondered what 'crafty' things everyone is up to this weekend if any? I'm so nosy and feel this is a great platform to do it on! : )

I plan on going to an Arts and Crafts fair my local church is hosting tomorrow - always interesting! And I am making a banner for a special friends bday...I got the template from Martha Stewarts site, it's actually for a wedding but you can print off whichever letters suit! Cute and so handy!

What a great banner idea!

This weekend I have 5 hats to make/complete
I still have 1 sock that is missing it's partner that I"d like to start on again soon.
My good friend is expecting her first baby that is 6yrs and $70,000 in the making so I am looking for a kick butt baby blanket to start making for her too.

I think the sock may get bumped to the end of the line though.

Well I have company from out of town so I will be spending most of my time with them : )

I am going to try to make a cozy/sleeve for a laptop, I thought that might be a good new project.  It can't be that hard, just make it the same as the iPod cozy just bigger ; )

There is a good sale on yarn starting tomorrow so I will be going to pick out some new colours. I have no idea what colours yet since I am more a grey, black, brown kinda woman. What colours are popular, any suggestions?

Finicky - I know hats and cozies are different but my popular colour request/choices are:

brown/pink
different tones of blue
pink

Have fun yarn shopping

Ooooh laptop cosy!!! I love practical design - my poor laptop gets carted around the house like crazy and I never think to protect it apart from when we're on the move...

I'm more of a grey/black gal too Finicky but I guess on your shop, eyecatching colours look best, i'd go for bright unusual coloured yarns.

Oh hey Finicky - what colours did you end up buying? Did you give into to the neutrals!

  yes I did mostly give in to the neutrals.

I did get a few different colours than what I have in my shop now. See if I can remember, I'm in Toronto for the weekend so have to just go by memory.

two different blues, lighter and medium, both kind of smokey
dark mossy green
light sage green
deep red
taupe/ brown
walnut brown
more grey and black
and 3 different variegated that I am not sure that I like anymore
there may be more that I'm not remembering, all I know is that I better get busy when I get home
