I'd like to bring up something that was first mentioned in the General section of the Message Board. An iCraft member has a friend who had trouble finding her on the iCraft Creators list.
I was able to find her, but it took a while. Following the instructions, I let her know: "I found you - but it took some doing! First, I clicked on "Creators" at the top of the Creators column to sort all the names in alphabetical order. Then, I had to keep clicking the >> button to get to names that were beyond the original 10. I finally found you on page 22.
She then indicated that her friend never found her, which led me to respond:
"I've been with iCraft since the beginning of February and honestly haven't looked through Creators for months. It used to be much easier - as I remember things defaulted to alphabetical order. A while ago, they began showing any new items first, and then listing in order of "last updated." This allowed people to see creators based on who entered an item most recently - I believe it's a way to see new things and also encourages people to enter new items (or update items) frequently.
I do see how this can be very confusing for someone using the Creators section if they don't read the instructions very carefully. You would also have to understand the concept of sorting to figure out the best way to find the creator you are looking for. I'm wondering if this might cause some people to just leave, figuring the person they are looking for isn't there.
I wonder what other people think? I'll post this in the Website section of the Message Board also, to see if other people or Administration want to weigh in. I think you've brought up an important issue! thanks."
As I said above, does anyone else have any comment about the way the Creators section is currently set up?"
