helllo out there!

since we're from all over the world, i thought we might have helpful travel tips for each other. maybe it's a little off-topic, but i think travelling to different countries can really expose you to new trends, materials, and inspiration...or even if you can share a little bit about what makes your location so special to you, that would be really great.

i was just visiting my boyfriend in budapest; it's so amazing there and has really grown on me over the year - and i miss it!  the danube is really impressive, especially in the evening.  it's lined with gorgeous castles, and the parliament building, which has a really unique and powerful presence.

my favourite view is at night, crossing over the danube from buda to pest, either walking or on the tram...and in the distance you see the chain bridge, which is totally illuminated at night so it looks like it's just floating over the river. so beautiful, it looks like it's out of a fairytale... and maybe could be interpreted as a necklace or something? haha... or maybe i will leave the creating to you!!

please feel free to share travel stories... ups, downs, inside tricks, best places to find new material - anything!

aaaaalso, i'll be heading to london soon, so if anyone is from the area, let me know!! Smiley

Well in my former life (pre kids) I was a travel agent so I have lots of tips lol!

I have personally travelled to Greece, the US, Vanuatu, Sinagapore, Indonesia, Thailand, I am from New Zealand and live in Australia so if you have any queries, ask away!

My favourite all time destination was Thailand. The country is so so so beautiful, the people incredibly friendly, the shopping out of this world and the prices very affordable.

I recommend getting some insider information from the locals about great places to eat or visit. Chat to your hotel staff and see if they know any fab local beaches, markets or interesting spots that aren't on the tourist trail.

Depending on where you are going, hiring a car can be great fun if you are adventurous enough to explore.

Make time to relax as well as sightsee or you will need a holiday when you get home too! A day in between tours veging at the pool with a pina colada is great to restore the mind and body!

Ok, I'll shut up now

P.S. Budapest sounds wonderful! I have yet to see the rest of Europe but its def on my 'must do' list when I get over there. I have been nagging my italian husband for a Europe trip forever so fingers crossed we'll get there in my lifetime!
We are heading to the US in 2010 (my SIL is celebrating her 50th in Las Vegas wooohoo!) and are planning on spending quite a bit of time in Florida. I have a lot of family there and we are going to take the girls to Disney World. Any tips appreciated!

I LOVE to travel - have incredible wanderlust. Also love animals, so often try to combine travel with something to do with animals - even if it's going to the local zoo.

Most recently went to the Galapagos (amazing) and Alaska (where we spent a day on the tundra with the grizzlies). Would be happy to share information with anyone interested -

(In a few weeks, we'll be going to New Orleans for the Jazzfest. We've been to New Orleans several times, but after the fest, will rent a car and take a road trip through the deep south (US) - mainly following music and BBQ. Will try to go through Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Savanna, GA, Charleston, SC and N Carolina. Have never been - if anyone has some tips or recommendations, I'm all ears.

I have so many places I still want to see! Italy is a big one, since I work glass I'd love to go there! Alaska, I am dying to see northern lights. Africa someday maybe. I've been to the Cook Islands, I loved it there, but was quite ill so I never got to snorkle much. I am hoping to get to Maui sometime soon to snorkle.

Hello guys. Decided to finally join after reading and learning so much from the forums.
I want to share my wonderful experience in Canada.
My experience in Canada.
Me and my friends had many wonderful memories there.
Penticton Lakeside Resort aside from being pet friendly, we were surprised to know they also have a casino.
