How Many Shipping Profiles Do I Need?

I’m just getting started on here, and I’m a bit lost. When I go to Add A Listing, it says to add up to 3 Shipping Profiles. If I don’t choose a certain country’s Shipping profile, will that country still be able to buy the item? I thought I was needing to make profiles for individual countries. Is there a way to make a Shipping Profile for certain groups of countries?

I don't really know how that works as I choose to sell (largely) domestically. However, if I needed to list a whole bunch of places, you could always use one of these options as a fall-back:

• Put in the description that they can contact you for a quote to their location
• Use a single "international" shipping option

I know when I shop online, I've seen stores based in the US offer: US, Canada, International (or sometimes, US, Hawaii, International)
