how to list multiple scarves that are not the same

I have free form crochetted scarves and hoods.  Do they all go under the same listing in order to avoid duplicate listing?

No, you should list each item separately.
Duplicate item warning is just for you to encourage you to write unique descriptions for each listing.

Not sure if this would help you, but iCraft has a clone feature. You create a listing and make it live. Then, you go back into the listing you just made live to edit it. At the very bottom there's a "clone listing" option. Clicking on that will create a second listing that is a clone of the first. Then you can make small edits to the clone, like:
- change the pictures
- change the description in terms of colours, size, materials, techniques or any other points of difference
- change the tags (especially if different colours)
- etc.
