I am new to this site and I am used to etsy and ebay resizing my photos for me. I tried reducing my photos from 4608x3456 to the recommended 860x694 and it didn't work. I then read a post that said to try 2690x2175 or 2290x1850 as well as 3050x2448. Nothing makes the picture small enough. What do I do? I can't post any pictures! My avatar went on fine, but not my item pictures.

I see where you are getting confused. You must CROP your pictures to those figures first - and THEN re-size.
For example: If you crop to 2690 x 2175, then, when you re-size the 2690 side to 860 and keep the aspect ratio fixed/locked, then the other dimension will automatically re-size to 694 or 695 (which is close enough).
Hope that helps.

Thank you for your quick reply! In the meantime, however, my tech-savvy daughter told me to go to pixlr.com, where it was super easy to resize my pics to 860 x 694. It's very time-consuming to have to resize each one before I can use it though. Not sure why the iCraft site doesn't automatically resize like Etsy and ebay. But at least I have it figured out now.

We do resize all photos automatically. I think instructions you saw were referring to best results. If you resize and crop pictures yourself, you ensure best results. But if you don't want to go through resizing photos, you can upload them as is and the system will resize them for you.

I did try to just upload them as is but nothing appeared on my page. It was as if I hadn't uploaded anything. I got that broken icon in the corner where my main picture was supposed to be. I will try again!

Sorry, for all your troubles! Could you please email a few of your photos to our support? We'll see why your photos are not uploading properly. Thanks!
