I would like to offer a sale but don't know how to handle checkout - how the buyer would get the percentage off.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Hi there!

Right now, the only way to offer something at a lower price is to actually list an item at discounted price on the product page. If you choose to go this route, you should use the product description field to call out the sale dates (i.e. Special discount valid April 1 - 7, 2008).

iCraftGifts.com admin would love to hear from the community on this one - what different types of sales/promos/offers would you like to have for your shop?  Based on the community feedback, we will build the functionality.

Thanks everyone!!

Thanks for the information.

Some types of promotions I was thinking about:

1. Offering a percentage off (say 10%) to first time buyers.

2. Providing redeemable coupons for buyers to use in the future.

3. If we were able to sell gift certificates, how could they be redeemed?

Thanks, again, for your ongoing assistance!

On the "other" site    I handled this by having the buyer wait for me to send a revised paypal invoice.  I really like the idea of coupons for future purchases!
