I just signed up to sell on icraft, however I'm afraid to add any items because I can't figure out the shipping process. Had a hard time figuring out how to post to the forum so I'm in for a steep learning curve.  Shocked  Can anyone direct me to where I can get help with setting up shipping costs etc.
Thank you in advance,
Lynn

Hi Lynn,

Welcome to iCraft!

Once you are signed in to your account, try going to https://icraftgifts.com/member_shipping_profile_detail.php.

Hope this helps!

As far as figuring out what amounts to put, you can make a best guess, or you can take a mock product to the post office and try out some postal codes to get quotes.

Thank you so much for your help.
I went to the Canada Post website and put in a few postal codes and the prices are all over the map. I guess I'll just take the middle of the road. The international and US seemed to be one price and about the same price as the highest within Canada. Does this seem to be your experience.
Is there any way to custom calculate the shipping on an order after it is made?
Thank you,
Lynn

I am not aware of any way to custom calculate shipping.
You can have up to three shipping profiles attached to any product, but you can "store" more that than many.  For example, my three "standard" shipping profiles are:
Canada - cards
US - cards
Everywhere else - cards

I have another three saved for heavier weight shipments than just cards to those three desitnations.

I have one other called "special".  I amend that one for my custom orders.

At the time you list a product, you choose which profiles (up to 3) to attach to it.

I have in my policies that if I have overestimated shipping AND handling (mostly the packaging is the "handling) by more than 50 cents, I will refund down to that 50 cent difference.  If I have underestimated, I eat that cost.  (I eat a lot of costs....)

Hi Lynn,

Fairy Cardmaker provided you with a pretty good advice - do your rereplacement and, if possible, go to the post office to get quotes. Also, add a line in your Shipping Policy about refunds for overcharging people for shipping fees.

There are some instructions on the page, where you setup your Shipping Policies. What I'd like to know if those instructions helped at all and what else we could do to clarify shipping. Thanks!
