Is bigger better?

So, there are three sizes of photos in our listings:
1. The initial thumbnail in the main store front
2. The individual product thumbnail when you click on a particular prodcut and the other thumbnails pop up along the right hand side of the photo.
3. The actual product photo where you click on the picture in a particular product description and a new window pops up where you can use the arrows to move to the next photo.

Right now, I save all my pictures at 860 x 694 which was once-upon-a-time suggested by iCraft.

BUT - if I want to use a third party program to lighten my photos, it allows me a maximum size of 570 x 461 pixels.  It is roughly the same size as #2. above.  So, when you click on the photo, the one that pops up isn't really much bigger than the one you were looking at.

For an example of this: check this product (for now).

click on the photo so you have the new photo window.  The "smaller" photo is photo #2.  What do you think?

Go with nicer but smaller or is bigger better?

Fairy Cardmaker,

I think your photos are great as is. I'd say go with bigger photos, as most people want to see products in a greater detail.

Thanks! I've been working hard on them but some give me more trouble than others.
