Hello,

I was wondering if you (anyone) could review my shop to give me some advise on how to improve...my sales specifically.
I have a Facebook page, blog and Twitter account, which I've been updating 1 or twice a week with a reference of this site.  Any tips on how to bring more traffic to my icraft site?

Also please advise on my photos and descriptions....I fear they're not doing a good job for my sales, or rather lack of sales!

Thanks for your help.

I'm not big seller, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Traffic
Here's a recent iCraft blog post on blogging.
https://icraftgifts.com/blog/demystifying-blogging-335.php

The moral of the story is, if all you do is flog your new wares, you will not attract buyers.  Try instead to make posts (to facebook or whatever) that are complimentary or ancillary to your product.  Since you make jewellery, consider, for example:
  • Showing clothes you found that pair well with your jewellery
  • Showing how to match a bracelet to a necklace to earrings, etc. - what design elements (materials, shape, style?) are safe to mix and what aren't?

Photos
Pictures have an enormous impact online.  Ahkriti rocketed to the top sellers list and her pictures are gorgeous.  On yours, you don't have a uniform background or a uniform style.  Some of your photos have stunning white backgrounds and some do not.  For photos with clear glass, the glass is "tainting" the background behind it.  What about white dishes?  What about earrings on a card in the box you plan to pack them in?  Consider your staging options.

For examples:

Not-so-great picture: https://icraftgifts.com/handmade/28780/earrings-w-blue-and-clear-glass-beads.php
At first I thought that thing in the background was a cockroach statue before I recognized it as a headless jacketed figure.  It's just weird and certainly drew my eye away from your product and held my eye until I figured it out.

I love the colour of this set but I think you could show it off waaaaay better with better staging.

Listings
I don't have much to say here.  You've done a good job using multiple photo shots and decent succinct descriptions.  What I would say is include the metal in the materials list.  You have it in the description but not in the materials.  You do seem to have it in your tags, so I don't know if adding it also to the materials will help or not.

Hope having an objective point of view will help!

Hey, Thanks for taking the time to respond and for your advice.

The photography thing is new for me....but your advice is great regarding backgrounds.  I used the headless earring stand to show a hanging earring, I didn't even think about it drawing attention away from the item I'm trying to sell!

I've just made a photo tent, so picture re-takes are on the way!
