The Fathers Day/Home Decor newsletter should be out shortly, and I am working the newsletters for June.
The two planned newsletterw will focus on:
1) Canada Day and July 4th items (flag tie-ins, nationalistic products, red and white or red, white and blue, etc.)
2) Comic-con items (super heroes, comics, books, TV tie-ins, etc.)
If you have related items, please post them to your pages in the next while!
Thanks!

HELP! What has happened to all the patriots here? I am putting together the Celebrating July 1/July 4 newsletter and there are few maple leaves or stars and stripes to be found on the site (other than some folks who have not been back on site for a long while).
Please! If anyone has some items that would fill the bill, please post ASAp so i can finish this newsletter.
Thanks so much!

Some great stuff there, Lisa! Thanks. I am trying to be creative... look for 'icons', but there are some great ideas there.

Thanks for featuring my dragon! It sold! "Geekery" isn't something I thought of when I made it, but I actually did do dungeons and dragons type games and I do enjoy Star Trek lol. Thanks for seeing outside the box for me.
Darned postal strike though! Good thing my customer is quite understanding and willing to wait. So happy! - and it's thanks to the newsletter, I have no doubt!
Creators - it's worthwile to be active and for us to work together to keep iCraft updated, attractive and a place to hang out!

Hooray! Geekery rules.
Glad it sold. Such a cute dragon.
And yes, PLEASE keep your stores up to date because I love featuring the wonderful items on iCraft in the newsletters, on Facebook and Twitter.

dragonkaty What kind of criteria do you look for when making your selections? - Are you looking for seller last login or someone who actually updates/lists products? (Someone who is active versus someone who is uploading content.) - What do you look for in a photo (or what to avoid putting in the photos) - Anything else that might be a tie breaker?

Hi:
My criteria is this:
- Does it fit with the subject matter of the newsletter - Sometimes there isn't enough that is spot on for the subject matter - you have to reach and be imaginative sometimes... aka dragons for geek days, LOL). It helps if the seller has been imaginative with their tagging too. As many tags as possible; colours, materials, relationships, etc. - Does the item have the "This seller has not updated their shop in more than 6 months..." If it does it is a no-no. The seller may not be updating because the item is fine, but if the sign is there the buyer will lose interest if they come across it. - Does the photo look good. Is it fuzzy, out of focus, do the colours look balanced, and is the background clear (not necessarily white, but appropos). It needs to inspire confidence. - And, of course, are there other items that have already been selected. I try not to have, for example too many rings (unless appropriate). Its better to get a mix of jewelry. - I also try to make sure I don't have multiple items from the same seller - it is better to show the range of iCraft vendors and their products
I hope that helps
