How to Write Good Web Content

Keywords
Select a few (2 to 4) keywords and phrases that best describe your products. Make sure they are accurate and relevant, and order them with your strongest phrase first. You can also make the keywords stand out by putting them on your page as headlines, in bold and in different fonts. Remember though; do not overload the page with your key words. Once or twice is good, depending on the amount of copy, but too much is just that – too much.

Tags
Does your webpage allow tagging? If you have a tags field like your iCraftGifts.com product pages have, enter those keywords in the keywords field. These will ensure your key phrases are used as hyperlinks.

Titles
Being cute is nice, but when it comes to your website make it abundantly clear what you are talking about. Remember replacement engine spiders are little pieces of codes, not humans, and they can’t understand puns, humour or slang.

No high falutin’ wordifying
Use simple, short, succinct words. Aim for high school level English, and remember that one idea or thought per paragraph is the best approach.
