I agree! I think age in particular is a huge factor to consider.

When I listen to 20 somethings talk I am very aware of how different our language is.
The lingo and slang plus the way they use the language...like you know! Cause, like this SEO thing is like sooo complicated...dude.

Sometime I think I need a dictionary when I listen to them...jeeze. I am getting old too.

It's better to have Captions for all product photos. Just try to change language for each a bit to keep them unique.
Basic rules for Captions - unique, descriptive, full of relevant Keywords, longer better than shorter.
