I want to know what others think if I start writing about particular icraft stores, where I pick stuff that i like and talk about it. Is that ok to do? I would also put a link to the item.

That's a great idea, PetiteTuques! We have a column in Blog Central called "In the Spotlight", where we post articles featuring iCraft  artists & crafters. Anyone is welcome to add articles to it. See who has been featured there in the past https://icraftgifts.com/blog/by-category-in-the-spotlight/ Thanks!

Perfect! It would be great to have more writers for the icraft blog.  It really does help generate traffic. Generating comments is good too.

Looking forward to your first feature!

Cheers Christine

on the left side of your screen scroll down to "My blog" and you will see "blog profile"... click on that"

Go for it! Smiley

Not sure what you talking about Pillowthrowdecor... I want to add my blog profile to Google Analytics, to start tracking... Maybe my first question was too vague? I don't know how to get the tracking installed...

Ahhhh... now I understand what you are asking...

go to your account... and get your blog url

mine is https://icraftgifts.com/pillowthrowdecor/blog/

Then go to Google A and set up a "new account" with your Blog url

follow their instructions and you number gets put into the icraft box on the wb stats page of "your account" on icraft.

What I found is that it GA sets up your new account and disables your old one.  For whatever reason GA does not separate our store account and our blog account... it lumps it together.  Once it has started tracking statistics you can easily see what kind of traffic your blog pages are generating by looking for that specific page address. It is really easy ... explaining sounds hard.

Hope that makes sense for you.

Cheers

I've been checking my GA for a couple of minutes now, and I see my blog as a page under my store profile- so maybe I don't need to do anything, since i can see how many page views it gets... does that sound right, or will I get more detailed info if I make it separate?

I think it is either or... The stats are going to be the same I think,,, just the delivery a bit different.  Hmmm I'm not sure exactly how it would be different though.  Need to think on this.  If you can look up your blog pages the way they are why change it?  Changing it will cause you to loose all your past info.

You don't need to setup a separate account in Google Analytics for your blog.
We pass to Google both - your store and your blog page info.
