Hi, I just found this site after looking for ways to advertise my new jewelry business.  I am presently a newcomer on Etsy.  I am trying to find ways to sell and advertise my jewelry.  I do not use facebook or twitter.  I was wondering if icraft has more payment options than PayPal.  I have learned that most people are intimated by PayPal and was wondering if this intimidation can decrease sales.  I live in beautiful Oregon and have been designing jewelry for two years but have just started selling with the opening of my own small business.  I love designing with genuine Italian beads and handmade artisan glass beads.

Welcome to iCraft Bella!

Currently we don't support any other payment options other than PayPal. We plan to add other payment options in the future, but I can't provide any definitive dates at this point. Thanks!

Hi and welcome to icraft!

I read one of your other posts and had a peek in your store. This necklace is very pretty! !https://icraftgifts.com/handmade/21461/genuine-venetian-millefiori-and-sterling-necklace.php

Oregon... anywhere near Hillsboro or Portland. I'm a Canadian but have a brother that lives  close to Portland.  I love crossing the border and touring around Washington and Oregon!

Regarding payment options. I haven't ever had anyone not buy because of it... people can use their credit card through paypal and I have heard others say that they didn't have to have an account to make a payment. Go figure.

You'll find a pretty helpful group here so just go ahead and ask questions on the forum or send a private message if you're feeling silly asking something  Embarrassed

Welcome again!!!

Hi Christine,

Thank you for the warm welcome and also for the compliments on my designs.

Yes, I live very close to Portland.  Hillsboro is on the way to the Ocean, about 30 minutes from here.

Do you have any suggestions on how to advertise?  I do not use twitter or facebook.  I started a blog that I took off line because I wasn't quite sure about working on it.

Welcome, Carey!

Check out the Marketing and Advertising forum:
https://icraftgifts.com/forum/b19/marketing-and-amp-advertising/

Lots of good ideas in there.  I currently blog (lazily) and plan on attempting Project Wonderful some time in 2010.  I also do workshops so I get word-of-mouth-advertising.

Hey Carey! Hi Ensorcelled Minds!

Carey, I encourage you to sign up on twitter. It will start getting you some views.

Also blogging will help too. I have started to blog on our icraft site and wow it has really helped with views and a sale too!

The upcoming bootcamp is about SEO which is REALLY important.  The one after that is going to be about blogging on icraft. It is so cool that we have that capability connected to our store!

Really good suggestion about reading the marketing/business forum. Also go ahead and review some of the old bootcamp activities.  There are lots of basic how-to's there.

I spend a lot of time at twitter and it has paid off quite remarkably for me. It has hooked me up with designers that have kept me busy. I also do a lot of giveaways. It doesn't actually cause sales... no ONE activity does... it is several in concert that gets you known out there. Network on line!!! Lots of ways to do that such as visiting blogs, commenting.

Having good SEO will make it "easier " for Google to find you. We know that there are millions of buyers out there but we have to make it easy for them to find us... that is a bit of a challenge Smiley Its about consistent effort .

Cheers

Hi Christine,
Yes, I agree - the bootcamp forums are really handy!  You can follow along the lessons at your own pace.

Unfortunately, the next boot camp is not good timing for me.  I'm a C.A. and tax season is rolling and doesn't end until April 30!  While tax is kryptonite to me, so I don't have a lot f tax clients, I do like to keep the schedule as clear as possible in case of last minute crunches.  Plus, I am picking up some slack due to an unexpected hole in our staffing.  Maybe the next time I can joint bootcamp again.

Lisa.

We'll try and record everything in the forums so you can follow it after tax time Smiley

Hello  - I am so happy to find a Canadian site to sell on!  I have been selling on etsy for over 2 years and have done well there, but have sold mostly to Americans.  Hopefully this site will draw more Canadians to my shop!  I welcome any comments or suggestions about my eco friendly products for your home.  It will take me awhile to list all my items!
How do I sign up for the special promo?  Can't find the "buy now" button!!!

Nikki,
The button to purchase special offer is right below the special offer ad on the "My Account" landing page.

Am I crazy?  I still don't see the Special Offer when I click on My Account at the top.

Hi Nikki,

I actually checked your profile and it looks like you've already clicked on the "Buy" button to purchase a 1-year subscription. That's why you don't see Special Offer ad anymore. However you haven't paid your invoice yet. It's sitting in your "My Invoices" section. https://icraftgifts.com/member_seller_invoices.php
Simply click on the Invoice number and proceed to PayPal to purchase the offer. Thanks!
Nikki
