You have described it as teal... could it reasonably be called turquoise?  if so go for it, as turquoise has been choosen as the "colour of the year" by Pantone.  There are a  lot of clothing and decorating designers looking for these colours to talk about in their blogs.

There is a very strong correlation between fashion clothingand home cdecor!!!
