Are you allowed to have more than one store? Or can we have categories within the stores?

I also do collage and mixed media, Id like to list some but my store looks so nice with just jewellery in it right now....

any ideas?

I have struggled with this myself.  I currently only have my purses listed on iCraft, but I am also a lampwork beadmaker/jewelry maker.  I'm not sure whether it would be better to have everything in one shop or to have two separate shops.

I also meant to say that you both make beautiful jewelry!  Your photography is very nice.  I really struggle with taking nice pictures.  I like to blame my camera, but I'm sure the real problem lies with me!

Thanks for the compliment lol!  I sell stitch markers for knitters in a separate shop from my jewelry (different site).  They just don't fit with the jewelry and since I have such a large amount of jewelry they would just get lost.  If it makes you feel any better this is my fifth set of pictures in 9 months and I have over two hundred items in the jewelry alone.  And I usually take 5 to 10 of each although less now since I am almost satisfied.  So I have taken several thousand pictures to achieve what I have now.  And I edit in a photo software program and use a light  box.  If you don't have an editing program you can use picassa (free download online)  for the basics like cropping, lightening etc.  Good luck and I am still interested in the whole two shop question.

Hi Brenda,
Thanks for the great question.

Currently, we only allow one Creator Exhibit per registered user. BUT - you'll be happy to know that we are already developing a function which will allow Creators to segment the products within their Exhibit into various product categories. The benefit for buyers is that they will be able to sort through a Creator's various product classes all on one convenient Exhibit page. This will help keep the shopping process simple, as it will be one checkout for the customer who buys both jewellery and mixed media from you.

We're hoping to have this segmentation ability within the next month or so. We'll be sure to let the Community know about the feature once we are closer to launching it.

Thanks again for the great suggestion!

Since you are in the designing process of segmenting items, please make it so the items show up in their designated categories and not just by list date.  Unless you have a lot of items, most buyers don't bother sorting by category, and having our items by list date can make for a messy looking shop.

I don't know if this makes any sense...

Thank you for the compliments~

you have to take lots and lots of photos to get a good one or two. Ironically enough, I find I can get the best photos sometimes in the weirdest places.
For instance, yesterday, I took along my latest jewellery items with me in the car to my sons guitar lesson and took photos of them laying on the vintage recipe pages on the passenger seat of the car!
They turned out better than the ones I tried using all sorts of lighting inside the house.

I find in the house that laying them right in a windowsill (our sills are 18" thick) on the paper works best, especially if its mid-morning...

I get really close with the macro and try to get angles for interest.
