So what did you think about that blog article? Did you manage to squeeze a new listing in too? Post it here so we can tweet it.
Cheers

Listed new items and updated a few. Learned something new today.
I had uploaded new listings the other day. Because the photos take some time, I loaded them up, put them ON HOLD, and went back over the last couple of days to write the product descriptions, etc.
Just learned that when you do that, it shows as an UPDATED! item when you "go live". Learn something new everyday! So now I know I have to clone it, write the description and then "go live" with the clone and it will show as NEW!
I'm sure many of you already knew this, and I'm the idiot that just realized it.. hahahaha!
off to read the article, thanks for sharing it Christine!
oh, and I blogged about the new products too!

Way to go! LOL... The cloning is a good way of refreshing a listing. We did that on a previous Bootcamp.... it needs to be pointed out so no you are no dummy. Of course it is best if you do have NEW product as you can't trick Google with recycling older listings. Cheers Christine

Cheers Christine Nono.. they were new listings and new products.. but I was uploading the photos at midnight, and I had to get to bed.. couldn't keep my eyes opened long enough to write the product descriptions. So I kep them "on hold" I thought since they were never LIVE before, that they'd show up as a new listing, but they didn't, they showed up as UPDATED... but the product itself is new.

Hi Naturliche, That actually sounds like a glitch. New products should be listed as new, regardless if you've cloned them or not. We'll fix that asap. Thanks for letting us know!

Sorry to hear that Erin. Today, I updated some more listings - titles and tags mostly. A little in the descriptions. I may not have new product for a few days. So many ideas, so little time!

Hi PillowThrowDecor, Those are the keywords that everyone has entered collectively up to this point. It has some good and some not so good keywords. We hope to clean it up over time. This feature will allow you to link to similar products, that share same keywords. Also, it will give you ideas for new keywords, that you might have not thought of before. It should also save you time by making product tagging faster.... and more fun. I've mentioned this new feature here https://icraftgifts.com/forum/1019/addition-of-auto-complete-feature/

Well I must be deaf, dumb and half blind and with a pile of listing to do!!! That's what I get for being lazy by copying an old listing.
Thanks!

Erin - sorry to hear about your family's loss. I enjoyed the clicknewz blog and signed up for the newsletter. I did catch a spelling mistake, and pointed it out. Hope she didn't mind.... did you want us to share three good blog ideas? 1) be consistent - for me, I have an Internet Artisan Interview every Friday (anyone interested? I'm always taking names) and a WW 2) write your blog with the reader in mind. I use a lot of images and links. When I go to a blog, I like to be able to look at pictures, not just words, and link around. 3) ask a question, in your PS or body, it doesn't matter. It helps to draw others into what you're writing. Visit my blog and tell me what YOU think! http://www.storybeader.com {:-Deb

So, here's my new item for the day: https://icraftgifts.com/handmade/19401/yoked-pencil-skirt-in-your-size.php complete with good keyword tags! Blogging: I'm bad and haven't done it in a week, but I know that my views are highest when I post what I call "process" pieces. I choose a project I'm working on - especially a custom order, then I take the reader on my journey over about 3 posts. I start with the creative design process with the customer - what they want or ideas they have. I post photos of any sketches I made, even if the customer changed a detail later, and photos of the fabrics used. My second piece is the construction post where I tell in general terms how the piece is made and show photos of a half finished dress or coat (whatever I'm working on). In my last post, I only show photos of the finished project. I usually spread these out over the course of a week to keep the reader coming back to see what's next. Scheduled lots of tweets today for the next several days; following lots of new, QUALITY people and still catching up on the SEO stuff. Do we get a free vacation after bootcamp?
