Let's hear it all. What are your thoughts on SEO?

Cheers

Be careful what you ask for!  My thoughts on SEO are generally unprintable, haha!

I read it... but I don't think I have any coherent thoughts on it.

I will post something new over the weekend.  Family member landed in hospital today and will be in overnight with an unknown length of stay after that.

Ensorcelled Minds,
I'd appreciate if you posted your questions about SEO. It's hard for me to know what exactly you guys are not getting. I'll try to break down info into non-technical terms, but I need to know if you are following me, or if I lost you on my first post. Smiley

It does make sense...but I have to admit I find it very overwhelming.
I need my title to be fast and furious to catch people's attention but at the same time have all the correct key words.

I am usually trying to get things listed as quickly as possible so I can move on to the next task at hand....that is my problem.

I think that if I list a red bag with blk trim and there is someone on I.Crfat replacementing for a red bag with blk trim then my listing will pop up.
I didn't really think that much past the place where I was listing to be honest....except on my personal web page.

Ok, so question...anything I type onto my web page can potentially be picked up by a replacement engine?Huh?...weather it is in the title or not?
How does the replacement engine know what to grab and from where?Huh

That is as far as I can think tonight...I hope these are stupid questions......thank you!

I should not message while I am tired..whether..not weather sheesh.
There is another one in there as well....maybe that is why my replacementes aren't so great Wink

I think it is .....these are NOT stupid questions....
Maybe the solution is for me to have my own personal secretary...that would be heaven!

OK, I tweeted and relisted an item in my shop.

I think the SEO is important to know.  I was clueless until 1000Markets started using it for their sellers.  They give you a box and let you type in what you want seem in a google (etc.) replacement.  It made a lot of sense.

The keyword replacement tool is handy too.  I see my language is different than others.       My, I love a good thesaurus!

Got some pictures with Z... she was a total HAM! (Yes, I did know this about her in other contexts, but I could never make it work for my iCraft pics:))

The key seems to be preparation. I got a solid backdrop (thrift store sheet) so she could move without leaving the shot area. I gathered all my stuff and got the lighting ready while she was napping. Quickly got her in clean clothes and wham, snap snap snap!

I did feel unexpectedly anxious about showing too much of her... So she's only in one of the shots. Not sure what my hang-up is here... probably good old fashioned paranoia. But anyway I got one of my old listings re-done. Hopefully better.

It was a long process... I better get quicker at this! Smiley

Hey good for you!

If you are nervous about pictures then just keep the shots from the chest down.  There are other sellers, particularly, hat sellers that have child models and they are adorable!

You do what you feel comfortable with.

I'm pleased for you that you are trying new pictures though.

Cheers
