Ha ha... I am glad that you have internet access where you are this week.

It is fun to see a list of notifications of new messages in the forum. It is so interesting to see how each person approaches their tasks and the new ideas they come with!

Cheers

Here's my blurb:

Callidora's specializes in casual wear, business apparel and formal evening wear for women with a focus on designing pleasing styles for the hard to fit person at affordable prices.  Through fabric, color, and style choice, you will have a comfortable design that best fits your figure and personality.

I followed 20 more people this morning.  More and more people are following me each day that I haven't followed first.  I'm weeding out the spammers and following those that resemble humans - in addition to the ones I added myself.  So I guess I'm adding 30 people a day.

I'm retweeting lots and making new friends that way.  I have a replacement column in my Tweet Deck with #icraft hash tags.  I'm moving and grooving

Reposting my elevator speech from Bootcamp 1.  I still like it enough.  This is what I would say if someone saw me with my cards or paper embellishments:

"Thank-you! It's handmade from my shop. I just think it's so much more meaningful to get a hand-picked, unqiue card - especially with your own hand-written message inside. It just makes it more genuine and special, you know?"

Person: "Interesting."

"Please, take my card. Feel free to check out your options next time you want to send a card. There are hundreds of hand-made cards out there with different styles like collage, letterpress, stamping. Mine are scrapbook style and sometimes I sell just the embellishment so that you can make your own card or use it in scrapbooking.  I guess it depends how adventurous you feel!"

I wouldn't do it differently for a man.

1) elevator speech
"This is one of the books I make in my spare time.  I use Japanese Washi paper for the covers and sew it together with Irish linen thread.  Isn't it beautiful!  They make FANTASTIC gifts!  I write a haiku poem for each one, and affix it to the inside front cover."

2) 1 new, 2 updates
ICraft says I can’t add any more products to my Exhibit Page   , but I plan to update my Etsy website.

3) download tweetlater - they're calling it Social Oomph now - guess bec it's for Twitter and Facebook? (done)

Now I plan to find some people to follow.  Finding someone with lists looks like a good idea...

Oh, what a darling blanket & pillow!

Thank you! This is a handmade, one-of-a-kind blanket & pillow set by Z's Knees. Here's my card, you can find me online. We've got a whole line of these 'Siesta Kits' for babies and kids, as well as soft toys. You know they make really great shower gifts. You won't find anything else like them!

We go our separate ways, both happy as clams Smiley

Ok, I'm off to find some people to follow, and figure out Hootsuite...

Wow you guys have done good!!!

Practice it a bit. Funny how things sound smooth or not smooth when it has to roll off your tongue.

I practiced mine in an "extreme marketing event" .  I think after I said it to at least 10 strangers I had shortened it and ironed out a few syllables.  I thought I sounded smooth and natural having thinned out a few more words. Fun... I did sell my geek pillow by the end of the day.

Here's a picture of me with a Geek pillow strapped on walking the downtown streets accosting people to listen to my Pillow Speech.  I started with "I am promoting a new Canadian company..." (that's me).

You would be really surprised how willing strangers are ready to listen to a nut bar walking around wearing a pillow... LOLOL...

Who cares... I sold the pillow and handed out 23 cards. Do I need sales that bad? No not yet but I do like living on the edge a bit.  Smiley

Hello!!!! Okay well, better late then never!
I have been twittering away. I really enjoy it!!! Who knew!!???

I still have to download one of the programmes so I can pre post my twitter updates. Hopefully tomorrow.
I am been adding people but have been a bit slow as I am being really picky and want to make sure I am picking good people/contacts.
It has been exciting having some many people add me back.
I feel like a kid again meeting all kinds of cool people "at camp" .

I am not sure I have the best grasp on the replacementing part for like-minded people but I am working on my key words etc.
Combined with what I have going on in FaceBook...it has been wonderful and progress is being made. I hope it will work and people will spread the "Weezi" word.

I have tried re-tweeting some posts and found that to be great fun and very helpful. All in all twitter has been a great experience.

Next, my elevator speech:

Gal in elevator: Great Bag!

Me: Thank you!
I made it myself. I have a label called Weezi. I like to design bags that are full of colour and really stand out.
All Weezi bags are one of a kind and are often made out of recycled materials.
I make all shapes and sizes b/c each day can present different hand bags needs and issues.
There isn't a gal around here who can't relate to that.
You would look great with one! Check me out at weezi.com Smiley

yes??? No?Huh? I timed it...15 seconds.

You know, for me the most difficult part in doing these things....writing a bio etc. is not using "I" all the time..."I this", and "I that"..."I make"...
"I design"..."I ,I,I"..it sounds pretentious not to mention repetitive.

I could use some wise words on that.

So...now I have to double check on what assignments I might be missing and do my twitter duties.

Thank you in advance!!! Lisa Smiley

That is agreat pic of you! I like how the guy looks like he is really into what you are saying and not giving you the evil, suspicious eye.

I essentially do that in my store everyday...but I would feel so weird doing it on the street!
Contrary to what my friends think..I really am very shy.
Congrats to you!!!!

Great commercial Smiley

I LOVE YOUR CLOSING LINE..."YOU WOULD LOOK GREAT WITH ONE.. CHECK ME OUT AT WEEZI.COM"

Good stuff!  The first part was a wee bit lumpy so I just eliminated some redundant words.  How does this work for you.

Cheers
