Signatures: check. Business cards: check... but I don't much like them. The print is too small (watch out for that when you're ordering online!). Thanks Linda for the link, I may try out the free uploadable image deal...
Tonight I'm working on a new blanket. Adding inventory is one of my main goals for this month.
I'll also spend some time on packaging... Positive thinking!... I WILL need those tags, I WILL need those tags!!

1)Finish your interview answers and post on yesterday's forum. ~~DONE 2) Add your automatic icraft store signature to every email in Outlook or Outlook express. ~~DONE 3) Get your business cards ready. ~~I got MOO cards recently - they are cute but not sure I will order again. Too small - afraid they will get lost in the shuffle and your photography has to be very good. They print dark (even tho my photos seem "light" to me). ~~I am going to get these FREE cards and upload my own design: http://bit.ly/Nn25d4) For those of you that have business cards already what about product tags that can be pinned or tied to your product? ~~Love the idea of a tiny card to attach to product. I am going to design some. ~~Postcards - have not gotten them printed yet but I designed some - take a look: http://indieceo.blogspot.com/2009/10/speechless-advertising.html

Hi all,
My interview is posted on Day 2....that was a challenge, but good thinking!
Signature line...check!
Business cards....have them, still quite a few left, will make some modifications next time I order.
Tags....hmmm...tried a digital scrapbooking type but that will be time consuming. I like the idea of 2 tags, one with the price, and one for gift giving. They need to be easily removable, if you need to retake photos or something, but attractive. Still working on this one...
...on to Day 4!

Wow this site here http://bit.ly/Nn25d that you recommended is amazing!!! I designed mine...very customizable (had to trick some of the spaces) and very professional... I just ordered 3000 glossies for less than 25% of what I would have normally paid my printer here. I am so excited.... now everyone that walks by my table is going to get one! I am hoping they will arrive before my first show on Nov. 13. eeks! And your postcard layouts are just amazing!!!! May I ask which site did you use for design or which program? Where you going to have them printed? Really good info and thanks ever so much for the quick links. zoom zoom Christine 3) ~~I am going to get these FREE cards and upload my own design: http://bit.ly/Nn25d4) For those of you that have business cards already what about product tags that can be pinned or tied to your product? ~~Love the idea of a tiny card to attach to product. I did think about this but need to keep pillow clients and drapery clients a little bit separate. The cost of a custom pillows can easily be more than twice of what mine are in my pillow store... has to do with fabric cost (often huge $$$) pattern matching, lining, specific sizes, separate cutting and a whole bunch of things. I often give them the opportunity to see if there is something they can "pick up off of my shelves". No... they want very specific and most don't mind paying the price... a few hope to get theirs at the "off the shelf price". No can do. I have to be careful not to confuse my clients. I am sure it is like that for everybody. Cheers Christine Christine - what about using two sides of one card - one for each shop!? {:-Deb

I stick my business cards on my packaging to ship in the "FROM" area...would be nice to have them in sticker form rather than wide tape. Good idea. Also would love to hear about your catalogue... can you give us an idea which program or a brief how to? Cheers Christine For branding on my items themselves, most of my jewelry ships in boxes and I have labels that I stick there and inside the box with my basic portal website ( www.thyme2dream.com) listed on each. The next thing I am working on is a simple self published catalog to have at shows- not one to hand out, but more of a portfolio type catalog to custom order options available to show people who are thinking about weddings, etc...I plan also to use this when I get ready to approach brick and mortar shops about carrying my stuff as well- but that's a ways down the road yet

Hey Cats,
I missed a day but I think I'm all caught up now. I have all shops/sites in my email sig, I have biz cards & little tags to tie onto samples etc... I also have spent a lot of time developing labels that are really in keeping with the brand (ingredients are listed inside the blue tub from my logo... without the flowers).
I am going to look into the links provided and try something new with my biz card design. I also love the idea of post cards, or other "useful" promotional pieces.
Lovin' all this sharing! Until tomorrow ................Erin

Hi all, I have business cards but will probably get another set , can't have too many, I send them with a thankyou with my orders. I have tweeted over 500 times, well that is a bit and have cloned a few items , I listed new items last weekend and will have to wait till this weekend to make more. I have used the #icraft on my tweets. I have been faithfully blogging since June 09 and have featured The Storybeader tonight on my blog as well as mentioning the bootcamp experience. I still need to do the interview and post but will work on that as soon as I finish my day job work. It appears work never ends but marketing is a good idea, Tweeting really does increase your page views and who knows maybe someone is watching your shop for holiday ideas. chow! Well this will have me caught up, I already have my signature on my emails and the kids. Also we mainly use Vista Print or 123ink for cards, we give out alot so free is the best price. I use Vista Print postcards to make my jewelry cards, I learned this online and will post the link when I get back from work today. each postcard makes 4 jewelry cards, they are coated which helps with bad weather days and I can hang them (use a product from www.gemsondisplay.com ) and just lay them down if it is windy. Added on Thursday: I realized that I get the earring card adapters, from Rio Grande not Gems on Display, sorry for the inconvenience, tough week for me, here is the link for the adaptors: http://www.riogrande.com/MemberArea/ProductPage.aspx?assetName=40553837
Also here is the link for the idea that got me started with my earring cards, I also use business cards to mount all my pendants, on its great when someone buys a piece they automatically have my card with the piece. We print the labels for Zac's Zoaps and all our business are branded. I like the idea of printing on each side of the card, great for two or more business folk. I like the interview on blog idea and will post one today and work on the tweeting, when I get home (I have a funeral at the church today) so that may not happen, but I like to be hopeful

Christine, Sorry about that, I have corrected my original post. But here is the information about the earring card adaptors. (Added on Thursday: I realized that I get the earring card adapters, from Rio Grande not Gems on Display, sorry for the inconvenience, tough week for me, here is the link for the adaptors: http://www.riogrande.com/MemberArea/ProductPage.aspx?assetName=40553837 Also here is the link for the idea that got me started with my earring cards, I also use business cards to mount all my pendants, on its great when someone buys a piece they automatically have my card with the piece) I can't find the link I used to learn this technique. I will write it up and put it on my blog, but this probably won't happen till Saturday

Some really good info being shared here! I'm still working on my interview - that was a tough assignment for me! I already have my shop link in my signature - also have links to website, other online shops, twitter and facebook fan page. Do you think that is overkill? I have business cards which I print myself because I still haven't worked out a design that I like. It's difficult to find a design that will feature both my art and my jewellery. The idea of printing one on each side of the card is intriguing and I will play around with that. I also have the moo mini cards which I love. I save them for special customers and collectors because they are more expensive than regular cards, but they are gorgeous. I have many different images of my work, both art and jewellery, so I can sort of customize the card to the client. I just read a blog post this a.m. about this subject: http://johntunger.typepad.com/studio/2006/04/business_cards_.htmlI thought it was interesting. I also already have hang tags for my jewellery pieces. For my art work I usually include a business card, either attached on the back, or in the package. Of course it is always signed by me as well! I also give a certificate of authenticity with each original piece. This has my name, my studio name and contact info on it. The thought just occured to me that a c. of a. might be a good thing to attach to, or include with, a larger, unique piece of jewellery? I do have to work a bit more on being more consistant with my branding. It is still a work in progress and is slowly coming together. I like the postcard idea. I've also thought about making fridge magnets with an image of my work and include my website address on there. I sell ACEO's which would fit into this idea very well. A little piece of art that can be displayed, and promote me as well. Well, I'm slowly catching up - will post my interview shortly.
