Handmade Store: Ds Naturals

Have you ever looked at a piece of dead wood, twig, stick or rock and thought "gee, that looks like a ......?" Being an artist and a nature nut, I marvel at Mother Nature's works all the time. I collect many natural materials from my own land here in southern Delaware and I try to use them to help you see what I see in the materials. No animals have been plucked for the feathers, I only collect molted feathers from my own birds (turkeys, ducks, geese, pheasants and chickens). I can tell you what each part is and where it came from, down to the name of the bird the feathers came from. I try to keep all my crafts as natural as possible
Many items are one-of-a-kind. All are handmade so even the items I try to keep stocked or make at all times will be slightly different from each other. Strings and braids are dyed using tea but I do seal the wood pieces with either Briwax brand sealer or polyurethane for longer life.
