Handmade Store: Blessed Home Quilting

I LOVE to quilt! I've been doing this for about 25 years. The first ones were truly awful! Practice doesn't always make perfect, but after years of improvement, I can say with all honesty that my quilts are lovely and different. My hobby has increased in the last few years to the point that I have been producing several a year. Since all of my kids and most of the grandkids have at least one, a suggestion was made to sell some of them and it seemed like a good idea. My wonderful husband bought me a quilting frame and a new quilting machine and here we go! He's my greatest fan and is always there to help me with technical help and moral support. He's a keeper!

I love to do traditional quilts but also enjoy coming up with my own contemporary designs. Art quilts are particularly intriguing and I hope to be able to do many more. My husband has framed several of them and they look stunning as a focal point on a wall. One of them hangs in a prominent spot at our local sportsman's club and people love to try to find the 10 deer hiding in the forest. I find hand quilting wonderfully relaxing but obviously it is much more time consuming. Both hand and machine quilted items will be displayed in my store. I would welcome consigned jobs using photo transfers on quilted items. I've done several pillows and one queen size quilt using photo transfer of dogs, cats, and horses.
