Woodworking in general. My products at the moment are hand layered wood bangles.
My longtime involvement with wood started out with an indentured apprenticeship in Carpentry and Joinery in my hometown of Nottingham England, and progressed through my working life, sometimes on an occupational level and at others as a pastime.
When I viewed some wood jewellery a while ago I had a yen to try my hand at making something similar to the lathe turned wood bangles that I saw, but, to produce them by a different method.Not being a wood turner I wanted to see if I could build them up from multiple layers of exotic wood veneers.
This desire evolved into a commitment that led to refining the cutting, glueing and moulding of these veneers around a mandrel and designing a method of securing it all in place to dry and retain
