A beautiful rendition of the ancient 1000-year-old petroglyph discovered in Chaco Canyon (N. Mexico).

I formed this clay pendant, carved the ancient petroglyph then fired it for several hours in the kiln. I then glazed the pendant and back again in the kiln for another long firing.

Threaded onto an adjustable strong 2mm brown cotton cord. The pendant averages 1-1-4" in diameter by 1/4" thick ( 33mm x 5mm).

**Only one model has been made, unique creation, what you see in the photo is what you will receive. Colour will vary in intensity from PC monitor to smartphone screen.**

Chaco Canyon petroglyphs:

These rock carvings were first discovered in 1992 by Malville and then-Fort Lewis Professor James Judge and were carved by early Pueblo people. Chaco Canyon, a centre of Pueblo culture in the Southwest a thousand years ago, is believed by archaeologists to have been populated by several thousand people and held political sway over an area twice the size of Ohio.
