I have always been a lover of anything crafty. I prefer to make things and when I can't I prefer to buy the things made by others with their own hands than the things made by machines. I like one of a kind items with their own story and their own personality. I like old things and new things and old-but-new-to-me things.
I was taught to crochet by a colleague on my first job at Howard University in 1998. She opened up a world of yarns, colors, and textures that fascinates me to this day. I have always thought that given some downtime and a bit of a break from the hectic world I would spend more time crocheting, sewing, and making things that I love and that could be loved by others.
It's 2020, enough said. I have chosen to spend the time that the universe has dropped on me making toys and promoting love. This decision and the journey that it inspired has led to a wonderful adventure.
