Handmade Store: The Salty Turtle Soy Candles

Great news here at The Salty Turtle! When I hatched my crafty little shop in 2012, I wasn't quite sure what I was going to sell but had to come up with a name anyway. I decided to name my shop The Salty Turtle as a way to honor my beautiful daughter Lauren who was born in 2008 and developed a love for sea turtles. My shop has evolved over the years and now as you know, I've been handcrafting candles made from 100% renewable clean burning American grown soy along with natural spa gifts such as hand whipped body butters, Dead Sea salt scrubs and beeswax lip balms. Being mindful of conservation and repurposing items, I've also included up-cycled fine wine and champagne bottle candles to my product line.

Six out of seven species of sea turtles around the world are endangered or threatened due to poaching, getting caught in fishing gear, plastic pollution, and many other reasons.

For every dollar we raise, we can save at least one turtle hatchling through our partner turtle conservation organizations. Your support will help get hatchlings to the sea and provide income for rural communities around Latin America.
