I started designing and making jewelry after my award-winning triathlete husband sustained a very severe brain injury while training. He was given a 1% chance of living and with no hope of ever walking or talking. I kept him at home as the sole care-giver where he did learn to walk with assistance and talk as well as make far more progress than ever expected.
During the 25 plus years of keeping him at home, I began creating jewelry as a way of keeping my creative ability intact while allowing me to care for my husband at home.
I named my jewelry "A Touch of Love Jewelry" after a poem I composed for my husband with the same title.
